Test Plan

Scenario 1

Sally really enjoys shopping but does not have a lot of extra money to spend on clothing and other things. She does like to look to see what is out there in terms of clothing choices online in order to destress from her day at the school teaching. When she started her classroom, she quickly realized that in order to get the students what they needed to have, she would have to purchase some supplies herself. She is always coming up with new ideas for classroom projects and likes to check online for any really good deals on school supplies. Sally likes to sign up for rewards programs if they are available because they can offer savings. She has recently discovered Kohl’s online because they do not have one in the city that she is living in. The concept of there being many deals and coupons on the site was really exciting to her, especially the fact that they had school supplies and clothing, two of her favorite things to shop for. She wants to know how Kohl’s member cards work, and if there is much savings when you sign up for them. When she is not teaching, she also likes to travel and wonders if there would be a Kohl’s store in any of the major cities that she plans on stopping at. Being new to shopping at Kohl’s, she also wants to how to sign up for an account and if she would be eligible for any additional benefits that might enable her to save any more money by shopping there.

Scenario 2

Fred does not really care for shopping but knows that it is a necessity at times. He lives near a major city that has a Kohl’s but he does not usually go there. He has heard good things about it though, so he decides he will give it a try at some point. As he likes to work outside, his jeans and shoes wear out pretty quickly, and he knows that he will need to order some more pretty soon. His most recent outdoor project includes making the yard look nice by adding some decorations. He has also been looking at getting a new grill but isn’t quite sure what he wants yet. He has heard that Kohl’s has an outdoor living section so he is thinking about looking to see what they offer there in terms of quality of products and pricing. Since he is also currently trying to pay for college so he doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on different items that he needs for his outside project. He also knows that some stores want you to make an account in order to purchase from them, but he only plans of shopping there a few times, so would prefer to check out as a guest. He also doesn’t want to get a bunch of advertising emails if he buys any products from them either. Another thing he is concerned about is their return policy. If he can’t return something very easily, then he doesn’t feel that it would be worth it to shop there. The same goes for shipping rates. If it is too expensive or takes too long to ship, he would rather go somewhere else.
